Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Nexus Chess account and associated data. Deletion cannot be undone, and deleted progress, balances, inventory, and social connections cannot be restored.

Delete your account in the app

This is the fastest and most secure method because the Application can verify your current signed-in session.

Open Nexus Chess while connected to the internet.
Open Settings.
Select Delete Account.
Review the warning and confirm permanent deletion.

The Application submits an authenticated deletion request, signs the account out, and clears account-scoped data from the device after the server confirms the request.

Request deletion without access to the app

Email legal@neonhex.com with the subject Nexus Chess account deletion request. Include:

your Player ID, if available;
your current or most recent display name;
a short explanation that you no longer have access to the in-app deletion control.

Do not send passwords, authentication tokens, full payment-card details, or copies of identity documents unless our privacy team specifically explains why additional verification is legally required. We may ask you to verify account control through a signed-in session or limited account-specific information before processing the request.

What deletion removes

Deletion removes the active authentication account and mutable account data, including the public profile, current virtual-currency and inventory balances, progression projections, puzzle progress, active friend relationships, pending friend requests, and active guild membership. Public player surfaces treat the former account as deleted.

Limited records we may retain

We may retain limited pseudonymous records where necessary for security, fraud prevention, transaction and ledger integrity, community safety, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. These may include immutable economy and progression ledger entries, puzzle completion records, transaction records, deletion tombstones, and guild or moderation audit history. Chat or audit records that must remain for community safety may identify the author only as a deleted player on public surfaces.

Retained records cannot be used to reactivate the deleted account and are kept only for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

Processing time and platform purchases

Authenticated in-app requests are normally processed immediately. Email requests are processed without undue delay after any necessary ownership verification, normally within 30 days. Deleting a Nexus Chess account does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed by Google Play or the Apple App Store; those must be cancelled through the applicable store account.
